Then there is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, the hidden thread running through everything. My connective tissue is faulty, fragile, unreliable. My joints slip, my skin bruises, my body resists healing.
It means that surgeries are riskier, recovery is slower, and pain is constant. It explains why IV access is so treacherous, why every infusion feels like a gamble. It magnifies every complication, stones, dehydration, fatigue making them all more dangerous.
Ehlers-Danlos is like trying to live in a house where the beams are weak and the foundation cracks. You can decorate it, patch it, reinforce it but at any moment, something may collapse, move out of place, or dislodge.
